Sunrise Pine is a private, accredited U.S. online school. In our middle school, students learn through live one-to-one Zoom classes with teachers who know them personally. They build the knowledge, habits, and confidence they carry with them into high school.
In grades 6-8, students build a strong academic foundation with a flexible schedule, a high-quality U.S. curriculum, and a teacher who works with them one-to-one every week.
Individual 45-minute Zoom classes where teachers give personal attention, feedback, and support.
Flexible scheduling that fits any time zone and focuses on real progress, not seat time.
Daily to-do lists and steady teacher accountability turn organization into second nature.
Teachers who know your child's progress and strengths, so no one gets lost in the crowd.

Middle school is where students form their habits and their identity as learners. It is also where many start to drift in crowded classrooms. Our model is built so that can't happen.
Students complete structured coursework through our online learning platform, where every lesson, assignment, and grade lives in one place. Alongside that, they meet their teachers in live one-to-one Zoom classes, not group lectures or pre-recorded videos. In these sessions, teachers explain difficult material, answer questions, give feedback, and keep students motivated and on pace.
Depending on the plan, students have one or four live classes per week, each lasting 45 minutes. Between classes, students should plan for around two hours of independent coursework per day. To keep this manageable, every student receives a to-do list for each day of the school week, so they know exactly what to finish to stay on pace. For many middle schoolers, this simple routine is where real organization skills are born.
Scheduling is built around your family's life, not the other way around. You can set a fixed weekly schedule with the teachers, or book each class through a calendar link at times that suit you. This makes the program workable from any time zone.
Our curriculum comes from an established U.S. provider whose courses are used by accredited schools across the United States. It is delivered through a modern online platform and taught with the individual support of our own teachers.
Students who are ready to move faster can begin high-school-level courses early, so strong learners are never held back by their grade level.

Middle school at Sunrise Pine is structured, graded schooling, not casual online learning. Students complete real coursework, take assessments, and receive official grades, records that follow them to high school, whether they continue with us or enroll elsewhere.
And because every class is one-to-one, nothing slips by unnoticed. Your child's teacher sees their work, knows exactly where they are strong and where they struggle, and adjusts before small gaps become big ones.
Parents stay just as informed. You receive your own observer profile on our learning platform, so you can check grades, completed work, and whether your child is on pace at any moment, not just at report time. Every month, you also receive a detailed report on your child's progress, and between reports we stay in regular personal contact, because we would rather mention something small today than surprise you with something big later.
Many of our students transfer in partway through middle school, often from schools outside the United States.
If you provide valid records from your child's previous school, we place them at the right level and pick up exactly where their last school left off, so switching schools doesn't mean starting over. During the admissions interview, we review their background together and recommend the right courses.

At a school built on one-to-one teaching, teachers are everything, so we choose ours carefully.
Every Sunrise Pine teacher holds at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, and many hold or are completing master's and doctoral degrees in their fields. But credentials are only the starting point: our teachers are selected for genuine commitment to their students. Because classes are one-to-one, your child's teacher knows their progress, their strengths, and exactly where they need support, every single week.
For middle schoolers especially, that steady relationship with an adult who believes in them often matters as much as the lessons themselves.
Everything in our middle school points toward what comes next.
Students who continue into Sunrise Pine's online high school move up seamlessly: same platform, same teaching model, and a clear path to an accredited U.S. diploma, with Honors, AP, and NCAA-approved courses waiting for those who want them. Many keep the same teachers they already know and trust.
And if your family's plans change, your child's records and grades transfer to any school, in the U.S. or abroad.
Some of our students train competitively, perform, travel, or simply learn best outside the rhythm of a traditional school day. Middle school at Sunrise Pine fits around those lives instead of competing with them.
Classes are scheduled around training and rehearsals, coursework travels anywhere with an internet connection, and the self-paced structure means a busy week never turns into falling behind. For young athletes with bigger ambitions, the habits built now also lay the groundwork for high school.
Sunrise Pine School is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC). Accreditation means our teaching, curriculum, and records are independently reviewed and held to the highest standards. You can verify our status directly on the ACS WASC website and learn more on our accreditation page.
In practice, this means your child's education is recognized in the same way as schooling at a traditional school, and their records and progress are accepted by other schools worldwide.
Families choose between two plans. The full plan includes four live 1-to-1 classes per week and costs $4,950 USD per year. The lighter plan includes one live 1-to-1 class per week and costs $3,800 USD per year. Monthly payments are available for both.
Everything else is identical: both plans include full platform access, all coursework, grading, official records, and the same dedicated teachers.
Many middle school families choose four weekly classes, since frequent teacher contact is what builds routine, confidence, and momentum at this age.

Yes. Classes are scheduled individually around your time zone, either as a fixed weekly schedule or booked class by class through a calendar link.
Your child doesn't need perfect English to join, just a level strong enough to follow the curriculum, which we assess together during the admissions interview. From there, English improves naturally and quickly, because students read, write, and speak it every day in their coursework and live classes. English language support is available along the way.
Live classes take place one-to-one over Zoom at scheduled times, and all coursework between classes happens on our online learning platform. Students need a computer, a stable internet connection, and a quiet place to work.
Students should plan for around two hours of independent coursework per day. To make this easy to follow, every student receives a to-do list for each day of the school week, so they always know exactly what to complete to stay on pace.
You'll always have a clear picture. Every parent receives an observer profile on our learning platform, with a live view of grades, completed work, and whether your child is on pace. Each month you receive a detailed progress report, and our teachers and staff stay in regular contact with parents in between, so nothing ever comes as a surprise.
